Overview
Focus Pattern is a wellness and ambiance app for visual patterns, gentle sound, breathing, grounding, humming, focus sessions, and optional Focus Lock distraction blocking. We keep data collection minimal and do not sell personal information.
Data we store
Most app data is stored only on your device. This includes onboarding status, selected language, comfort settings, favorites, recent patterns, selected durations, local session history, and optional Focus Lock selections. Session history may include completed time, pattern, atmosphere, duration, and an optional rating.
Focus Pattern does not require an account. We do not store your local session history, Focus Lock app selections, Screen Time tokens, or microphone audio on our servers.
Optional features
Focus Lock may use Android Usage Access or Apple Screen Time APIs to block apps you choose during a focus session. Those selections stay on your device. The app may also use haptics, motion/orientation access, and audio for supported experiences. Current app builds do not request microphone access.
Purchases
Focus Pattern uses Apple in-app purchases, Google Play purchases, and RevenueCat to unlock lifetime access and restore purchases. These providers may process purchase identifiers, entitlement status, anonymous app or user identifiers, device/platform information, and related diagnostics according to their own policies.
Analytics, diagnostics, and support
Focus Pattern does not show third-party advertising and does not sell personal information. If analytics are enabled, we may collect limited app events, such as app opened, onboarding completed, first focus session, paywall viewed, and purchase status, together with an anonymous app identifier, platform, app version, and experiment assignment. If you share diagnostics through Apple, Google, or your device settings, we may receive crash logs or performance information. If you contact us, we receive the information you send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and attachments.
Data retention and deletion
Local app data stays on your device until you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Analytics and support data that we control is retained for up to 24 months. Diagnostics that we receive are retained for up to 12 months. Purchase-related information that we control is retained only as long as needed to provide or restore access, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
To delete local app data, use Clear history or any other reset/delete option available in Focus Pattern. You can also delete Focus Pattern from your device. On Android, you may use Settings > Apps > Focus Pattern > Storage > Clear storage. If you enabled Focus Lock, you can also revoke Screen Time authorization on iOS or Usage Access on Android.
To request deletion of personal information that we control, email [email protected] with “Data deletion” in the subject. We will delete or de-identify eligible information within 30 days unless we need to keep it for legal, security, fraud prevention, purchase verification, dispute-resolution, or accounting reasons. Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and other providers may retain data according to their own policies.
Health and wellness
Focus Pattern is a wellness and ambiance tool, not medical care. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
Children
Focus Pattern is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
